Oil Lamp

Oil lamp made from steel and limestone.
Part of Lapis Collectio, a project exploring the role of funeral rites in natural settings, the lamp offers a discreet source of light for moments of reflection and remembrance. Designed for the Jura region in Switzerland, its materiality and simple construction allow it to blend naturally into the landscape, creating a quiet connection between place, memory and ritual. Each one is made by hand out of a unique piece of stone.
